Welcome! This blog is dedicated to all of those David Witt's of the world. Yes, that's right, this blog is created for the express purpose of connecting all of those folks in the world with their first name starting with "David" and last name ending with "Witt".
Why? Well, I while back back when the Internet was taking off in the dot.com bubble, I had the opportunity to register the domain name davidwitt.net. It occurred to me while I was doing that, there was a lot of David Witt's out there that just wouldn't be able to register a domain name for themselves. Somehow that just didn't seem quite fair to me and I resolved to find a way to share this resource with all the other David Witt's in the world.
It took me a bit to figure out the best way to do so - I thought of forums, or custom websites, etc. and finally just settled on the standard blog approach. So we'll give this a try. I am going tro try to see if I can determine how to set it up to allow other David Witt's to post to me beside me.
By the way, Dave's and Davey's still count as "David" so you guys are welcome as well.

I wonder if you’d extend the discussion to David Witts who are deceased. My natural grandfather was named David Witt. Born around 1920 or so, he was reputedly a prodigal pilot and a proven drunk. I never knew him: he abandoned my mother at birth, leaving her to be raised by various family members. His name comes up from time to time, but very little is revealed about him save the above (pilot, drunk).
